At the launch event of the OPPO Find X5 series, this manufacturer also introduced a new product called OPPO Pad. This is OPPO’s first tablet after a long time of leaked information and images.
OPPO Pad has a pretty nice design. The product is completely metal, with a square frame similar to the new iPad models from Apple. There will only be a single 11-inch screen size option, not as diverse as the Galaxy Tab S, Huawei MatePad, or iPad Pro lines.
OPPO Pad is equipped with an 11-inch LCD IPS screen, QHD + resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. This screen has a thin screen border at the edges, slightly curved at the corners, but does not support features like Face ID like on iPad Pro, instead, it is just an 8MP selfie camera.
On the back, the device also has a single 13MP main camera. However, this back is designed quite youthful with half printed with stylized OPPO Pad words. The device has 2 color options: black and purple.
In terms of performance, OPPO Pad is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chip, which is not the most powerful chip but still powerful enough to give an impressive level of performance. The device has 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB / 256GB memory. The included battery has a capacity of 8630mAh, 33W fast charging. OPPO also developed a ColorOS for Pad interface exclusively for OPPO Pad, based on the Android 11 operating system.
Besides, OPPO also introduced the OPPO Pencil (O-Pen). Basically, this pen is quite similar to Apple Pencil, supporting 4096 different levels of pressure. The O-Pen will be sold separately, not included.
Regarding the price, OPPO Pad will be available in China with a starting price of 2299 yuan for the 6GB/128GB option, equivalent to $350. The O-Pen stylus and the keyboard cover accessory are priced at 499 yuan and 399 yuan, respectively, equivalent to $70 and $60.
